Hi All

We have now released an outlook add-in for all users of Office 365 or Exchange 2013 or later.

The add-in will appear in, and is available for use both in Outlook.com\OWA and also in the desktop version of Outlook.

Currently, you can only use the add-in to create tickets from emails and add email attachments to the ticket you have created.

We will be adding functionality shortly to be able to add updates to tickets, and also to be able to create 'Posts' against anything within Harmony directly from the email.

Usage

After opening the plugin you need to log in to Harmony.  You will then be able to create tickets from an email.  The add-in will copy the body and subject of the email into the ticket creation form and will use the related parties of the email to attempt to pre-select the customer and contact for the ticket.

Installation

To install the add-in, first go to your Profile > Tools menu and copy the url shown to the Office Add-In App Manifest file. See below:

You can then choose to either add the add-in globally into your organisation, or add it individually into your outlook account.  If you want to include the add-in into your Desktop Outlook Client you have to be running Exchange 2013 or later and add the add-in into your organisation.

To install just for you

Please be aware that these instructions may be out of date if Microsoft change their user interface.

To add it personally into your Outlook.com or OWA do as follows:

  • Log into your Outlook.com account
  • Follow the instructions below to get to the add-in page

  • Now navigate to the Add From a Url option in the add-ins page

  • Once you put in the Url you copied from Harmony earlier you will be warned that the add-in has not been verified by Microsoft.  You can ignore this warning and click Install to install the add-in
  • The add-in will appear above your messages in Outlook when viewing them and you can click to open and use the add-in
To install for your organisation
  • If you are using Office 365 go to your Admin Center and navigate to Exchange

  • If you are using Exchange you will have gone straight there
  • Navigate as below and select Add From Url
